Scurry-Rosser ISD Partners with Schneider Electric to Kick-Off District-Wide Energy Efficiency Project


School district funds security, classroom comfort and athletic facilities upgrades through energy efficiency savings.

SCURRY, Texas – January 18, 2018 – The Scurry-Rosser Independent School District (ISD) located in Scurry, Texas today announced it has started construction on a turnkey energy efficiency project that will upgrade safety and security, classroom comfort and the athletic environment at facilities across the district. The district is partnering with energy and sustainability expert Schneider Electric on the comprehensive energy efficiency project that will reduce utility consumption by 21 percent, with an average savings of $149,000 per year guaranteed by Schneider Electric for the life of the project.

“As a small school district, we must be creative in order to make the most of our available resources in a fiscally responsible way,” said James Sanders, Superintendent, Scurry-Rosser ISD. “We are proud to partner with Schneider Electric on this energy efficiency project that will not only make our schools more efficient and sustainable, but also reallocates dollars back into the classroom where they are needed most."
