Dual Credit
The dual credit program at SRISD (Scurry-Rosser Independent School District) allows high school students to take college-level courses through TVCC (Trinity Valley Community College) and earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. This partnership provides students with an opportunity to get a head start on their postsecondary education while fulfilling high school graduation requirements.
Students enrolled in the SRISD-TVCC dual credit program can take courses in subjects like math, science, English, and career-focused fields. These classes are offered at SRISD online. Participating in dual credit helps students save time and money on college tuition, eases the transition to higher education, and demonstrates their ability to handle college-level coursework. It also supports career readiness by allowing students to explore fields of interest before committing to a full college program.
