Digital Learning
Definition
What is Digital Learning?
Digital learning is defined as “any instructional practice that effectively uses technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience and encompasses a wide spectrum of tools and practices.”1
The Digital Learning Department is responsible for providing the instructional technology tools and the requisite training that will enhance the teaching environment and embolden the student to new levels of learning. The primary tools in SRISD include the Chromebook, Clever SSO, Canvas LMS, and the Google Suite of Apps. To go along with these tools are a variety of educational applications, online textbooks, and assessment tools. All of these layers of technology are intended to build the student's technical abilities and digital citizenship skills.
