I wanted to make you aware of the current situation involving threats of violence directed at schools. Over the last few days, there have been many school districts around the state that have received reports of social media posts and emails indicating they are the target of violence or that they appear on a list of schools targeted.

Our SRISD Police Department, and local law enforcement agencies have been diligent with staying in tune with these hoax posts. We will remain diligent and vigilant with keeping our school community safe.
