Coursework grades during the Closure Period from March 23rd to May 21st.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires a school teacher to assign a grade that reflects the student's relative mastery of coursework. For campuses that are “Closed, Instructing,” teachers are to review student work while they support the instruction being delivered off-site. Schools are required to document school work is being done and grades are being recorded.
The final grade during the Closure Period from March 23rd to May 21st, will be recorded as Mastered (100) or Non-Mastered (69). Mastered will be equivalent to a numerical grade of a 100. Non-Mastered will be equivalent to a numerical grade of a 69. The Closure Period grade will be averaged in with prior grades as prescribed at each campus (Elementary, Middle School, High School).
If you have any questions please contact your child's teacher or campus principal.
