The Scurry-Rosser Independent School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Dr. Lori Blaylock has been named the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
Dr. Blaylock has served as Interim Superintendent of Scurry-Rosser ISD since July 2025, providing steadfast leadership and a clear vision for student success. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence, staff support, and community engagement.
Board President, James Moeller, stated, “Dr. Blaylock’s proven leadership and unwavering dedication to the Scurry-Rosser community make her an exceptional choice to lead our district. The Board is confident that her vision and experience will continue to guide Scurry-Rosser ISD toward an even stronger future.”
In accordance with state law, the Board of Trustees must observe a 21-day waiting period before finalizing the appointment of Dr. Blaylock as Superintendent.
Dr. Blaylock expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm, saying, “It has been a privilege to serve the students, staff, and families of Scurry-Rosser ISD as Interim Superintendent. I am deeply honored by the Board’s confidence in me and look forward to continuing our work together to support excellence across the district.”
