On Monday, January 12, during the monthly Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees called a Refunding Bond Election.  The Board feels that this will give the community a second chance to take advantage of potential savings for the district, without increasing the tax rate.

This refunding bond works a lot like refinancing a home.  By freeing up funds in the Maintenance and Operations side, this could free up funds and make the most of local tax dollars.

It’s important to note that this proposal does not include new construction or projects and does not increase the tax rate.  It’s simply about meeting the district's immediate needs by effectively managing its funds.

We are grateful for the ongoing support and involvement of our Scurry-Rosser families and community members.  We encourage everyone to learn about this opportunity and make plans to vote during the election period.

More details, including key dates and voting information, will be shared soon!
