House Bill 1481 requires all Texas public schools to adopt and enforce a written policy prohibiting students from using personal communication devices on school property during the day. Scurry-Rosser ISD will require all students to turn off and store their personal devices in a secure location during the day. Please join us in welcoming Melanie Bowers as our new Director of Curriculum and Federal Programs! Melanie is an experienced leader with a proven history of developing student-centered systems that foster innovative teaching and learning. Her approach brings all stakeholders together to contribute and collaborate, ensuring success for every student.
With a distinguished career in education, Melanie has consistently: Increased campus scores, built leadership capacity from within, and established sustainable systems through campus-based leadership teams. Her work is grounded in character and integrity, and she proudly represents herself and her district with professionalism and heart — serving as a role model in the community.
Melanie brings over a decade of leadership experience, having served as Principal in Kaufman ISD for the past 11 years.
