Due to interest, we’ve added a second Incoming 9th Grade Parent Meeting to make it easier for families to attend. Our 2nd grade class enjoyed a trip to the movies to do a book/movie comparison followed by a picnic lunch at a local park. The students had a blast and the weather was perfect!

Exciting news from Scurry-Rosser ISD! Starting next year, 10th through 12th-grade students can take select virtual courses through a partnership with Forney ISD Virtual School Network, while staying fully enrolled at SRISD. This new pilot program offers greater flexibility and expanded learning opportunities to help students succeed and explore their goals.

The PDSES application is now open! The Parent-Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) program is a one-time $1,500 online grant for parents/guardians of eligible students served by special education and who are enrolled in a Texas public school. Parents/guardians of eligible students can use the online accounts to shop the marketplace to purchase educational materials and resources such as textbooks, curriculum, or technology devices, and/or services such as additional speech therapy, tutoring, or other specific services. To learn more, visit PDSES.TEA.TEXAS.GOV.

The application window closes April 30, 2026.
