Our first grade students at SRES have been working hard on their animal research unit. Once they finished their research, the students wrote a nonfiction book about their animals. Congratulations to our first graders who are now published authors!

Yesterday our students at SRES attended the performance Water4Otter: Less is More. The actors taught our students about the importance of water conservation. Thank you to the North Texas Municipal Water District for coming out to our school.
We hope everyone had a restful and refreshing Spring Break! On Monday, our staff returned for a day of professional development, reconnecting and preparing for a strong finish to the school year.
During our time together, we also had the opportunity to celebrate some truly outstanding members of our Wildcat family, our Teachers of the Year and Paraprofessionals of the Year! SRMS Track & Field
There will be no school for students on Monday, March 23. This day is scheduled as a Professional Development Day for Scurry-Rosser ISD staff, as our teachers and employees take time to participate in training and planning to better support our students. Students will return to class on Tuesday, March 24.
Just a reminder that Spring Break will be March 16–20, and there will be no school for students or staff during this time. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing week with family and friends. Take time to recharge. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school soon! Classes will resume the following week on Tuesday.
Happy Pi Day from Scurry-Rosser High School! Our Precalculus students took time yesterday to celebrate one of math’s most famous numbers—π (pi). Did you know that the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter gives you pi? It’s a number that goes on forever and plays a big role in math and science.
Pi Day is an annual celebration where math enthusiasts have fun reciting the infinite digits of pi, talking with friends about math, and of course… eating pie! It was great to see our Wildcats enjoying math in a fun and creative way while learning a little more about the world of numbers. #PiDay #WildcatPride #SRISD #MathInAction
The staff at SRES wanted to have some fun on our last day before Spring Break. We let the kids know we were as ready for vacation as they are without actually saying we were! The kids have as much fun trying to figure out our underground spirit days as we have planning and executing them.
Over the past three years, Scurry-Rosser ISD athletics has been all about hard work, heart, and a whole lot of Wildcat Pride. From the football field and basketball court to the diamond, our student-athletes have been putting in the work and representing SRISD the right way.
A huge shoutout goes to our coaches, who spend countless hours preparing, encouraging, and helping our athletes grow both on and off the field. Their leadership and dedication continue to make a big impact on our students and programs. We’re proud of the progress our athletic programs have made over the past few years and excited to see where the Wildcats go next.
