Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that none of us are meant to walk through life alone. At Scurry-Rosser ISD, we encourage our Wildcat family to check in on friends, coworkers, classmates, and loved ones. A simple conversation, kind word, or moment of support can make a bigger difference than you realize.

Connection matters. Support matters. And together, we can help create more good days for one another. Whether it’s sharing a smile in the hallway, sending a quick text, or taking time to listen, those small moments of connection can help reduce stress, ease anxiety, and remind others they are not alone.

Let’s continue looking out for each other, showing kindness, and building a strong, supportive Wildcat community. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #WildcatPride #SRISD

Hands-on learning is always more fun in music class with Mr. Magee!  Students were engaged, learning, and having a blast while exploring music in a creative and interactive way.

To add to the fun, the lesson even started with a little lightsaber training! Watch the fun and see our Wildcats in action here: https://youtu.be/PkUhkCpUpa4  #WildcatPride #SRISD

What a week we have had at SRES! Today our PreK parents finished out a week of being spoiled with pizza, pizza, and more pizza! For dessert we were treated to the STAR treatment with star shaped cookies, YUM! Our Scurry-Rosser Education Foundation set up a table with a variety of HTeaO flavored teas. It has been an awesome week and our entire staff feels so incredibly appreciated by our parents, grandparents, and community members. Thank you to all of our parents who organized, set up, and cleaned up each day so that our staff could have so many wonderful meals this week. Words can't express how much we all appreciate the kindness and support you show us daily.

Bus Route Delay Notice: Today, May 8: Bus Route #15 will experience a delay of up to one hour.

If needed, students may be picked up from their campus instead of riding the bus. If you plan to make alternative transportation arrangements, please notify your student’s campus and teacher so they are aware of the change. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this temporary delay. Thank you for your continued support. #SRISD #WildcatPride

Our 1st grade parents provided a BLOCKBUSTER salad graze table full of colorful selections. Like most celebrities we ate healthy while everyone was watching. On the way out, when no one was watching, staff members filled up a bags of sweets from the very generous array of goodies at the candy bar! Thank you to all of our 1st grade parents for everything you did for our SRES staff today!

Let's TACO BOUT TUESDAY! Thank you to our 2nd grade parents! They went off script with the variety of options that the staff had to choose from for lunch. They had anything and everything tacos, and it was scrumptious. Our own Miranda Priestly aka Mrs. Shirey (IYKYK), passed out SWAG bags to our entire 2025-2026 cast. Tuesday is a wrap, and we can't wait to see what Wednesday will bring!
