It's National FFA Week! This week, we’re celebrating all things ag, leadership, and service — and what better way than cheering on our students at the Kaufman County Junior Livestock Show.

From early mornings feeding animals to long days in the barn, our students are learning responsibility, leadership, and grit. They’re representing Scurry-Rosser ISD with pride, hard work, and good sportsmanship — and we couldn’t be prouder of them and the families who support them every step of the way.

Be sure to check back throughout the week for show results and photos of our students and their projects as they take the ring. Good luck to all our exhibitors — we’ll be cheering you on! #WildcatPride #NationalFFAWeek #KaufmanCountyJLS #FFA #GrowingLeaders

To the Scurry Rosser HS community,

While the Last Chance yearbook ordering deadline was Friday, 1-30, we realize the Snow Days leading up to that deadline compromised communication and promotional efforts to clearly advertise that deadline. Because of that, our publisher is allowing you one final opportunity to purchase. The absolute last day to purchase a 2026 yearbook will be Friday, February 20, at midnight.

You can purchase online at jostensyearbooks.com or click on the link below: (note: by purchasing online, you can pay in 4 installments) THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE A 2026 YEARBOOK!

February 19 is State of Texas Anniversary Remembrance Day (STAR Day). STAR Day honors the annexation of Texas into the United States and commemorates the day James Pinckney Henderson became the first Governor of the State of Texas in 1846.

Texas law encourages public schools to observe STAR Day through meaningful and patriotic activities that inspire a deeper appreciation for our state’s rich history. Today, we remember where we’ve been and celebrate the legacy that continues to shape our future.
